Chuckle is a comedy community built for laughs. Our mission is to give comedy fans a place to discover and enjoy stand-up clips without the negativity, rage-bait, or doomscrolling found on other platforms. These guidelines help keep it that way.
By using Chuckle, you agree to follow these rules. Violating them may result in content removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban — at our discretion and without prior notice.
1. Be Respectful
Comedy can push boundaries, but there's a line between a joke and harm. We do not allow:
- Hate speech or targeted harassment — attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Threats or bullying — direct or indirect threats of violence, doxxing (sharing private information), or sustained harassment of any user.
- Sexually explicit content — pornography, graphic sexual content, or unsolicited sexual advances.
- Impersonation — pretending to be another person, comedian, or brand in a deceptive way.
- Spam or misleading content — repetitive posting, deceptive links, fake engagement, or coordinated inauthentic behavior.
2. Respect Intellectual Property
Only upload content you own or have permission to use. This means:
- You must have the rights to the video, audio, music, images, and any other material in your clip.
- You must have consent from anyone appearing in your clip (including for name and likeness, where applicable).
- You may not upload full sets or material that belongs to another comedian without their permission.
- If you believe your copyright has been infringed, see our DMCA process in our Terms of Service.
3. Keep It Real
We're here for authentic comedy. Don't:
- Upload AI-generated or synthetic content that impersonates a real person without clear disclosure.
- Use bots, automation, or fake accounts to inflate likes, follows, or engagement.
- Post content that is intentionally misleading or deceptive about its origin or nature.
4. Report Violations
If you see something that violates these guidelines:
- In-app: Use the report feature on the clip or comment.
- Email: hello@comedyaddiction.com
We aim to review reports within 24 hours. You can report anonymously, but providing your contact info helps us follow up if needed.
5. What Happens When Guidelines Are Violated
When we find a violation, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Remove or restrict the violating content.
- Issue a warning to the user.
- Temporarily suspend the user's ability to post or comment.
- Permanently ban the user from the platform.
- Report illegal content to relevant authorities.
We consider the severity and frequency of violations when deciding on enforcement. We don't disclose specific moderation actions publicly to protect user privacy and platform integrity.
6. Appeals
If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you can appeal by emailing hello@comedyaddiction.com with:
- The action taken and why you believe it was in error.
- Your device identifier or account info (if available).
- Any relevant context or evidence.
We'll review and respond within 7 business days.
7. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or on our website. Your continued use of Chuckle after changes take effect means you accept the updated guidelines.
